The Benefits of Laboratory Accreditation

Thursday, January 29, 2015

For any laboratory, accreditation is a way to showcase that they meet the standards of quality for a specified list of services. To become accredited a laboratory must be audited by a recognized agency or organization (e.g. A2LA, PRI/Nadcap or NAVLAP) using a set of specified criteria.

Accreditation is a valuable tool that enables you to do the following:
  • Show the public that you have been audited by an internationally recognized agency
  • Prove that you follow strict guidelines and adhere to certification standards, ultimately proving laboratory competency
  • Provide certification documents for clients
Accreditation also allows you to minimize your risk when working with a company, avoid retesting and reduces your overall costs. Learn more about our own accreditations and the benefits to you here.

Miami Valley Materials Testing Center is an accredited testing laboratory. For more information about our testing services visit our website or view our accreditations.
